Finally. I’ve recovered from my viral infection and no longer need to take my narcotic-laden cough syrup. Man, that stuff messes me up like cuh-razy. Anyway, yay, I’m better now and I’m completely not sick for the first time in a few weeks.
Last weekend I drove up to CSU to see my boy Colin. I hadn’t seen him since I left Chicago to come here. So I drove up Friday afternoon and arrived at his superfly crib. He’s got a nice big house with 2 roommates. One of them is 28 and has two reeeeeeally cute golden retriever pups, a mom and a son. So cute! I loved them. Heh, anyway… his roommate has a 60″ flatscreen HDTV! I saw it and it was like ::angelic chorus ahhhhhhh::. Soooo sweet. Colin had just bought an XBox so we set it up and played a LOT of Halo. I mean a LOT. It was freaking awesome. We are a kickass duo in all activities that we partake in. Sports, jokes, music, video games, whatever you got. Punk. Anyway, we went over to Tara’s (Colin’s girlfriend) house and chilled there for a little while. Tara has a dog named Sam who hates everyone for roughly the first month of knowing them. When I first walked in, Sam started growling at me and I’m like “What the hell is up with this dog? Relax, buddy…” and Tara explains to me how he is filled with angst and hate for everyone he doesn’t know. So I went to the backyard and jumped off the deck onto the trampoline and Sam jumped on there with me. He dropped his little honeycomb chew toy and I threw it to him about a million times. He stopped hating me so much and that was that. After going back to Colin’s and playing yet more Halo, we went back to Tara’s and partied(read: a bunch of Tara’s friends and their friends coming over and playing stupid drinking games while Peet drinks Mountain Dew and dances around and raps with Colin). Heheh… I did make Tara a pretty kickass mix CD that we played at the party that got it pretty jumpin’. I ended up sleeping on her couch and watching an EXPN special on Eito Yasutako(he’s a stellar inline vert skater)… it was siiiiiick.
That kid is insane. Let’s see. The next day we went to the CSU Rams game. Go Rams! The majority of that day was the huh-uge tailgating party. The giant grass parking lot was packed with excited CSU students grilling up hot dogs and drinking and playing catch and stuff. If you haven’t figured it out yet, my favorite color is green. Well, their colors are green and white. I was in heaven… we were cooking up hot dogs and burgers, playing catch… surrounded by cute chicks in green shirts. Ugh, good times my Gees. Whew. The game? Suuuucked. CSU got pounded by Miami of Ohio. We left during the third quarter because of a really embarrassing play. The Ohio QB took the snap and scrambled for around 30 seconds. He just ran up and down the field and faked out about 8 CSU defenders… it was really sad. That night we went to Fort Fun and played Lasertag and raced some Go Karts. I kicked ass! I got first and I lapped two people. I was fishtailing all around every turn and hauling ass like crazy. So fun. The next morning I drove back to DU and it felt really good to be home… it was weird. My room feels like home for some reason. My bed is really comfy, my walls are now covered with posters… I love not having a roommate. I finally cleaned up my room and took some pictures. Here are two panoramics. Check em out… I made em into Quicktime VRs too. Yay.

I promise that I will post very soon. I got back from CSU today and was feeling not as sick as before, but my throat still hurt a lot. I went to get some chinese takeout with my homey Connor, did some homework in my room, and then tried to take a nap. I was coughing really hard and couldn’t get to sleep. Finally I ran to my garbage can and puked a few times. Ugh.. I can definitively say that the chinese food was the culprit. I will try to post today, but I’ve got a business group project meeting tonite. I took some pictures of my room now that I got all my posters up. I’ll post those pics soon too. Stay tuned, and hope I get better asap =D.
**UPDATE: Ok, I had a doctor’s appointment this morning… 8:40am. Weee. They checked me out, and it turns out I have a viral infection. My immune system has kicked a lot of ass on it, but some is still lingering. They prescribed me a narcotic-cough syrup, and I took it around noon. The lady at Walgreens told me that it would make me drowsy for sure. I told her that NyQuil didn’t really do anything last week and she said that my new medicine might not do anything either. I took about 3/4 of a dose around noon, and wasn’t feeling anything for a while. I got to class around 1 and within 3 minutes of class starting, that stuff kicked in like cuh-razy. All of a sudden I felt all sleepy and light headed and weird. I warned my teacher that if I hit the deck it wasn’t just because class is boring. She laughed and said it was ok. I’m really busy for the rest of the day – business class, meeting, then my RADIO SHOW! DJ Peety will be rockin’ the mic from 8-10 Mountain Time (the forgotten time zone) at http://kvdu.du.edu. Figure out your local time if you wanna listen. It’s gonna be a great show. I’ll post as soon as I get some damn time.

I’ve been sick for the last few days, and I haven’t been sleeping well at all. I took Nyquil the last two nights, and it didn’t do a damn thing… just to put this all in perspective. Nyquil, for god’s sakes! That stuff is supposed to mess you up in like 4 minutes! I’ve been sitting in bed night after night just trying to fall asleep. It sucks… I just sit there until around 2am when I finally fall asleep. This afternoon I started to feel better, and I had 2 free hours in the middle of the day, so I took a nap. I fell asleep in no time.
In my dream, I was sitting around talking to a few of my friends. Then, I was suddenly at a huge water treatment plant… we’re talking huge. I was helping some of the people there purify the water or something like that, it was my job to bring a certain chemical into each big tank that matched up with the kind of filtration they were doing on each section. I thought the fact that I was suddenly at a water treatment plant was weird, so I was talking to one of the workers and I was like “This is so weird, I’m dreaming right? Like, what the hell am I doing here?” and they were like “Dude how could you be dreaming? You can hear and taste and see and feel what’s going on here, right? This is real.” So I’m just like “Ok, I guess this is real.” And then suddenly I’m back talking with my friends in my dream, telling them about how the water treatment plant was real, and how I thought it might have been a dream but wasn’t. Then I woke up for real in my bed. I was so confused. Not only did I have one dream inside another, but I thought the second one might be a dream, questioned it, was persuaded otherwise, and then convinced other characters in my first dream that the second one was as real as the first. What the hell is that about?
I met this girl Danielle at the club last week. Really cute, great dancer, you know, the whole deal. She gave me her number and I called her the next day. We’ve been talking off and on the last week and she was gonna come over tonight and watch a movie or whatever with me. She said to call her at 5pm today when I was done with my computer lab hours. She said she promised to answer her phone when I called. She didn’t…. but she called when I was out of the shower. Ok, that was fine. She said she would call me when she was done getting ready so I could come pick her up. About 45 minutes later, I called her and she said that she was eating dinner and that she would call me back. She never did. I called once more tonight and left her a message. No response. I am pissed! I got myself all ready, did my hair all nice, cleaned up my room, got outfit approval from the girls on my floor, and she stood me up. So not cool. She better call me asap with an awesome excuse or something. Ugh… who does that? I hate it when people are irresponsible like that. I could never just not call someone back or not show up somewhere I’m supposed to be… how terribly that speaks of someone’s character. Pssh. I’m going to bed… I hope I can sleep well tonight.
Listening to: MxPx – My Life Story
I haven’t been sleeping well the past few nights, and I’ve worked about 144 hours in the last two weeks, so please excuse my lack of posting. I have a few new mini adventures(mostly clubbing and work) to write about, but being sick and working all the damn time has kept me from having the time to organize my current thoughts and pictures and stuff like that. Please root for me getting better quick… Monday is my first day of classes. I’ll try to post soon after. Thanks y’all.
