the holiday season

Monday, January 5th, 2004

Ahh, a new year is upon us. First off, lemme wish all you Gees out there a fun and fulfilling new year. As my best bud Danno said, “This is gonna be the best 2004 ever, way better than 2004 BC.” Rock on, brother.
I had a pretty good New Year’s. We had a little party at Dave’s. We had a good time, but I had no date. I almost had one but she had to go to another party, so that sucked. Besides that it was fun. It was Colin, Tara, Dave, Jeff, and Aaron, and some random drunk girls that showed up. Good times were had by most. Yay.
The week before that I did a lot of hanging out with Jeff, Dave, and Colin. We went bowling a few times, hung at Dave’s and played video games and what not… nothing too crazy. We do some team speed bowling sometimes, it’s when we bowl in a line, regardless of whose turn it is. Run up, throw your shot, go to the end. It’s good times. Colin, being 6’5 and strong as an ox, takes the bowling ball and lobs it as high as he can down the lane and still manages to hit pins. He was doing that and a manager came over to us and said he couldn’t do that anymore and that he was gonna end up breaking something. Granted, that can’t be good for the lane, but people do that all the time. After about a minute of arguing, Colin just goes “Dude, there are much more dangerous bowlers in here than me,” and the dude just stood there trying to think of what to say for a few seconds, it was GREAT.
The next nite I chilled with my boy Josh. We drove around for a little bit and made hilarious movies with his new digital camcorder, and then we went to his house and played Toejam n’ Earl 3 on XBox. Fans of the first two games will FREAK when they play this new version – I was almost giddy with each new facet of the game. What a great port. Then Josh and I rode on his bike (yes, I was on the back pegs) to Jewel and bought an amazing frozen pizza for dinner. Good times. Just so y’all know, Josh is going to be a famous chef someday, so I get to say I’ve known the kid since I was like 6. I’ve also gotten him into some awesome pop punk recently. Yeeeeah!
The last two days were my drive back to Denver in the good(?) ol’ 1988 Volvo 240 station wagon. Recognize. Now I’m back in my room in Denver… I missed this place a lot. I fixed my heater and now my room is toasty warm. Looks like I’m in for quite a quarter. Updates as they happen, Gees! Stay warm.

Listening to: Viva La Bam (god I love this show)

Hey Peet! Glad you had a good Christmas and New Year. I like Viva La Bam, too. Man, that’s a funny show. You almost gotta feel sorry for Phil the way they pick on him, lol. Have a good week and email me sometime.

Happy New Year Peet! I’m glad you had a good break, but I’m more glad that you’re back. I missed your "always sassy" updates. :)
